Our 3-star gîte and B&B are situated in the centre of Amboise, the birth place of the Renaissance. The entire property made up of houses and a delightful green garden, is called « Les Terrasses Royales. »
This name was not given by chance, as it reveals the originality of this place. From our terraces, at the top of a small hill, you can enjoy an exceptional view of the chateau and the town of Amboise, which surrounds you. A captivating panorama that will dazzle you by the beauty of the natural light, so very different in the morning and in the evening. When you realise that on this exact spot Léonardo da Vinci made his famous drawing of the flagship town in the Loire Valley - it's a moving experience.
Here, we offer a little haven of tranquillity : it's not only this area and its narrow streets that are very peaceful and calm, but also the vast garden which is open to all our guests. You will most certainly have the chance to enjoy some of the organic vegetables from the garden, taste our free range eggs or even savour some fruit. Our "pampered" fruit trees are always very productive and generous. Their cool shade welcomes sunloungers and guests seeking peace and quiet. This perfect setting feels like your are in the countryside. What's more, it's also a refuge for the Bird's Protection League (LPO).
Then again , who would believe that the Chateau Royal is less than 600m away ? This elegant building set on a rocky outcrop was the luxurious residence of Charles VIII and Francis I. Even today, it’s imposing architecture looks down on the town.

- We have lived in Amboise for nearly 20 years and reside on site. We can help and advise you about the things to do and visit, the various activities to try as well as numerous specialities to discover ...whether you visiting with the family, as a couple or among friends.
- We also offer reduced rates for chateaux and other visits.
- If you are travelling by train and arrive at Amboise station , we would be delighted to pick you up, free of charge.
- We are the only furnished tourist establishment which has a real ecological set-up and for that reason we have been awarded l'Ecolabel Européen as well as the « Clé verte » award.
